Stigma attached to mental illness

This is a great article about myths of mental illness. Suffering from depression, I found it very interesting. I wish I had this article, when I was off sick and trying to explain to my employer how it wasn't like a broken bone, and I could tell them exactly when I would be back to work. It took alot of battling, seeing "their" doctor, like mins was lying or something. I was actually more upset that in this day and age Human resource departments are not having seminars and courses on this, as it has become so prevelant in today's society. Of course, I am only talking of one company, but I can't see that alot of the companies would really understand. My employer is pretty informed now - as I am sure I found new information for them constantly - I just hope it works for the next person, that may be affected by this awful disease.
