Is a disorder of the brain that causes severe changes in moood, energy and behavior, It can be debilitating to those who suffer from it. It causes damaged relationships, poor job performance, and can lead to suicide. Individuals suffering from bipolar disorder alternate between states of depression (feeling sad and hopless) and extreme mania (overly joyful, excited) the individual makes compulsive decisions, they can become so worried about something to the point where they feel they have commited a crime. Individuals may also show psychotic sympotoms including delusions of grandiose, even hallucinations.  
 
I have a friend that I believe suffers from this, they have been prescribed respiridone (an atypical antipsychotic) Their doctor does not do refills he only prescribes them 30 pills at a time, and each time my friend stops taking them. I feel like I can't hold this persons hand and drag them to the doctor every month, They are told they need a referal to a psychiatrist which can take months... They havnt taken their pills in about a month now and I am just wating for the next cycle.  
 
Anyone else know anyone that suffers from this? Do you know of a good doctor in Brandon that has dealt with Bipolar disorder before? Any positive advice or help with this situation would be appreciated!
