Nurse at H1N1 Clinic - Ew?

I went to get my H1N1 shot yesterday at the town center and I was pretty disgusted at one nurse in particular across the table from me who gave the shot to my friend.
When given the needle, she then proceeded to bite the cap off the syringe with her teeth and then give it to him.
This struck me as very odd for a (hopefully) trained nurse to do... as well as unsanitary and a little disturbing.
I understand they are trying to be fast and efficient to get through as many recipients as possible.. but this is just a step too far IMO.
Maybe I'm the only one who thinks this way.. I don't know. My personal opinion is just.. disgust.
