csa stands for community supported agriculture. its a share based operation, where as a person becomes a member, and in return pays a fee, for baskets of produce weekly. similar to one i have heard of on here in the austin area. EXCEPT i am thinking of not only produce but eggs chickens and ground beef. and am open to anything else that there is interest in.
here are some links to get an idea, wondering if there is enough interest to try it out. on a small scale for the first year, with the anticipation of success to grow in future years.
its not a brand new concept, as there are aprox 2000 csa in the united states and aprox 1000 in canada. I dont want to take anything away from the farm in austin, but i do think there is enough need for more growers. let me know your thoughts.
