Bone Spurs

Does anyone have experience with bone spurs on spine? My surgeon suspects this is what I have now. With his recommendation, hopefully I will be getting a second opinion soon. I have been waiting 5 months now to hear about an appointment in Wpg. In the meantime, I was wondering how other people cope with this problem. My shoulders and spine in that area are always hurting & stiff. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
