Lid Up or Down?

I found this rather disturbing when I found this out a few years ago and saw an actual experiment proving it done.
You may not really notice whether you flush the toilet with the seat up or down, but after you read this, I bet you will take notice.
Did you know that flushing your toilet with the lid up allows bacteria to spray between 6 and 20 feet (large range I know, but depends on a lot of factors I suppose) which means that it lands on your hair brush, towels, and tooth brush!!??
All I have to say is EEEEEWWWWW!!!
