These little creatures been around for awhile, didn't even know they where real into about five years ago.  
I was forced to stay in a low cost hotel in the city. I woke up with some welts on my upper shoulder and because of an earlier experience when I was a Child, I thought I was bitten by a spider.  
A week turned by and the skin reaction didn't go away. Started to think I'd had some allergic reaction, went to the doc and she informed me of my bedbug bits.  
 
I researched those little bugs and found out their not that bad. I still do a weekly or monthly household checks. Checking all beds and furniture for any signs.. I haven't run into these bugs since then but they still creep me out.
