lack of dental surgeon in brandon

my wife has 4 severly impacted wisdom teeth needing removal by a dental surgeon.
the problem is that brandon has a 6month waiting list to have a procedure done. she has to wait 3 weeks just to have a consult with there office.
this seems insane to me. she is in alot of pain and can not eat, only sip small amounts of warm soup for the last week.
how is she expected to wait six months to have something done? is the health system in manitoba really gotten this bad? the brandon hospital doesnt even have an oral surgeon on staff or on call. so no emergency procedures are done in brandon any more.
does anyone have any advice?
.... or an appointment with the oral surgeon they dont need? ... i bet they wouldnt transfer an appointment to another patient tho.
