Lost 27 pounds eating DORITOS & DONUTS!

A nutrition professor at Kansas State University wanted to prove to his students that it's not "what you eat" but "how much you eat" that determines weight-loss. His point: the average person can eat nothing but junk food, but as long as the caloric intake does not exceed your daily maximum, you will start to lose weight. This guy went on a diet of junk food for 2 months, monitoring only the calories, fat didn't count. Results: lost 27 pounds, and cholesterol went DOWN!
Sooooooo, do u think this would work? Would you try the JF diet? What do you think of this?
