Heart palps and docs who dont listen

So I went to the doctor earlier this year with a number of complaints, one of them being heart palipitations. They put me on the EKG for a matter of maybe 2 minutes, said nothing was out of the ordinary and sent me on my way.
Now they are getting to the point where its so annoying you almost want to rip out your own beating heart just to stop the flip flopping. Im not sure what else I can say to the doc to make them listen so I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to help alleviate it.
