Has anyone watched the show "Mind-Freak", well I watched it this evening and I picked up on this tid-bit and I had just finished reading a piece about it on the entertainment news on Yahoo.  
Chris was walking into this building as this " big breasted woman" was coming out and he backed up saying "whoa" and emitting little gutteral sounds, shaking his head all the while.  
This column is all about refreshing our minds, so I can safely speak about what I read and the how Mind-Freak (Chris)reacted upon seeing this "big-breasted woman).  
The article I read was how women are seeking augmentations (breast enlargement). The number of women, ages from 18-50 years of age, doing this has tripled in the last year or so.  
They're shelling out huge amounts of money in order to have bigger breasts.  
According to this one man,he says, " Its a self-confidence thing, they think that if they look better, they'll feel better about themselves". And he goes on to say, " In our society, we value looks, we respond more positively to attractive women". He said, " there are going to be times when they get in the way. Men are stupid around breasts".  
Really, are women buying into this myth that you have to look a certain way to be OK? Despite with all the risks about long-term health effects, women are not turning away. Even the saline-filled implants on todays market are painful, inconvenient and even embarassing if they spring a leak so they say. Mamograms are harder as lumps are harder to detect. Post-operative infection is a possibility. With all the arguements up front you would think that would be enough to deter women, but wrong, they can't wait to have the surgury done.  
It has me baffled and wondering why women are not satidfied with the way they were born. And how men go all jelly fish when around big breasted women. Are they intiminated by big breasts and are they actually stupid around them?
