Using Out-of-country healthcare

Saw a story on Canada AM this morning about how more and more Canadians are making use of outside-of-Canada healthcare for various reasons. Depending on the procedure, people will fly to the US, Cuba, Europe, etc and pay to get done what they need done.
Those reasons varied from the lack of donated organs to the obvious wait time issue that you'll hear many raise.
I'm curious how much this has been done locally (no need to name names unless you really want to)?
