Wondering if anyone knows where to buy the Terminator nit free lice comb? I see them online but want to know if there is a store here that sells them.

Back when my kids had this issue, i got my lice comb from the pharmacist. They are kept behind the counter for some reason. May not be the exact name brand product you are looking for, but any stainless steel comb will work. Just wash the child's hair and apply LOTS of conditioner. Do not rinse out. Put on a movie or favorite TV program to keep the child entertained, and start combing out the conditioner. Get right down to the scalp. Wipe the comb off on a paper towel. You will see little black specs on the paper towel, which is the lice. Keep combing till you see no more bugs. Then wash out the conditioner.  
Keep doing this every day, until you see no more bugs on the paper towel.

Found a metal comb. Yeah this worked great with the conditioner! Tried the nix shampoo bought what a waste of money! Thank you

Nix doesn't work anymore. They have become resistant to it. There are two new products out, one for sure that is pesticide free and it is called Nyda. The Nyda is about $40/bottle & comes with the comb but depending on length/thickness of hair you will get multiple uses out of it.

also tea tree oil. thats what I had to resort too when my kids were little. nothing else worked. I also put it in the washing machine with all their bedding and clothes.

Did the tea tree oil actually work to kill the lice and nits Rebeldawn?

Tea tree oil works wonderfully. Back when my daughter was young and the worry was out there, was even recommended as a preventative measure. But please make sure your tea tree oil ration to shampoo is done right as the effects of long term use of full strength can dry out the scalp and leave it cracked.

Comb I have on line. It's a Nix comb and worked very well. The head lice treatments are said not to work as the lice are becoming immune. What worked best for us was the Nyda found at Shoppers Drug Mart. I ended up researching the life cycle of the head lice which helped with treating them with "home remedies". I found that conditioner and the combing worked the best. After washing the hair apply lots and lots of conditioner. I bought a big bottle of the Equate brand from Walmart and started combing. Of course I washed everything but I really didn't go to crazy as typically adult lice don't live long without a host. I found my time was better spent on the combing. Last year was a bad year at our school so my daughter got it for the first time. I now add some tea tree oil to her shampoo and spray her hair with hair spray every morning. So fingers crossed it doesn't happen again. I was a wreak when I found it. Just stay calm as though it's kinda "yucky" it doesn't affect their health. I say my prays as if head lice is the worst thing that ever happens to them, I will be forever grateful!

Use along with the shampoo and comb to pop eggs still attached to hair after the shampoo dries.
