Looking into Can Fit & Manitoba Fitness Council- can anyone shed some light on why they think one might be more beneficial than the other?

I am a certified personal trainer with can fit pro. I cant say which is better, but do your research and see what each certification requires, and what is required to have the certification continue. For can fit pro you have to pay the membership yearly(its 69.00 for the year) renew your CPR every year, and complete 4 CEC (continuing education credits). Also if you are maybe planning to move, see if the certification will be valid outside of manitoba. Good luck in whatever certification you choose. You will have so much fun being a fitness instructor!

But what about ISSA online? Any reviews on this?

I completed my International Sports Science Association Certification. You will be required to complete the exams with a minimum pass grade. Complete your CPR and write an essay. If this is your route: it's beneficial to find a personal trainer you can job shadow too.

A few years ago I use to be certified by Manitoba Fitness Council and back then it meant you could teach fitness classes as a fitness instructor but you were not certified as a Personal Trainer. You may also want to check out infofit based in Vancouver but they have a distance education program.
