I have been to two other foot clinic in town and they were not helpful at all. The same thing happened to me. I never wore the orthotics because they made my feet hurt worse or just didn't feel right. Christy at the Brandon Private Occupational Clinic, in the Brandon Clinic "mall" was amazing. She took measurements of my toes, knees, hips and even video taped me walking so she could pick it apart to see exactly what I needed. Since receiving my orthotics, I no longer have foot pain. In fact, I ended up getting a second pair to wear in my sandals in the summer. I will say that it takes quite awhile to get in to see her, however, it is well worth the wait!

Creativity is right. I had the same experience with other "foot doctor" in town. Useless.  
I had a custom made orthodic insoles made and they made a difference.

I can second the recommendation....she is very thorough and assesses many things before she fits you for orthotics. I keep going back for updates every few years. The cool part is if you do get orthotics from her and they start to wear in any way, she can "refinish" them for a lesser charge instead of getting a whole new pair made!

This is the right place--DO NOT get them from the chiropractor they aren't any good  

do your research prior to your appointment. I also was referred to Christy who came highly recommended however she did not have the credentials that were required by my health insurance plan i.e. in order to be covered my orthotics were to be prescribed and provided by a podiatrist or a chiropodist.

Hi there! I'm planning to get a brace tho, but I'm not sure if how much is it and the monthly payments. Anyone who can share their experience? Thank you

I've been going to Westman Foot Clinic for 12 years. I have flat feet and without my orthotics my back and feet ache. You definitely need to be sure to see a podiatrist to ensure your insurance plan will cover you. There's a reason they are called doctors. I have tried the off the shelf ones and even once from another local "non podiatrist" and it was a total waste of money. Of course for those that don't follow the doctors orders or recommendations nothing's going to help. My podiatrist told me up front he couldn't guarantee they would help 100 % but they sure did. I gladly go back each year for new orthotics my comfort is worth every cent.

I can't stand a day without my orthotics. My flat feet create leg and back pain if I don't have that correction.

I was referred by the MD to a Podiatrist. He fitted me with orthotics for my runners. A second thinner pair was placed in my dress shoes. He did a lot of measurements and all adjustments are done in the onsite lab. My insurance company paid it all with the paperwork he made up for me. He also injected steroid drug into my joint that was painful and now it feels better. I would recommend him.

I have been in orthotics for approximately 13 years and also go to Westman Foot Clinic. I'm on my feet most of the day at work and without them my feet and legs hurt. Through the years I have had to have them adjusted but I have never really been in pain getting used to them. My Mom's feet are in terrible condition due to diabetes and she has hammer toes. She's always in pain. I have learned how important it is to keep care of your feet. Maybe the people who find their new orthotics painful left it a little late and therefore getting adjusted to them will take more time.

I can not be without my orthotics and I have been wearing them since Dr. Fabian came to Brandon. The best way to measure orthotics is by casting them as I have also tried measuring with the foam box. I have been to two different Podriatists and Christy and I would recommend Christy, and Dr Fabian if he has not retired.
