I'm considering Lasik eye surgery and, because I wear progressives, they recommend monovision correction for me. Wondering if others have had the monovision correction done and what your experiences have been with it.  
Is it something you get used to and don't really notice after a while? What's it like for reading, computer or close up work?  
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Had the surgery for both long distance and reading. They can put a kamra inlay I think it is called , kind of a disc over the left eye that corrects reading as well as normal long distance surgery. You lose a little bit on your distance but not bad in the left eye. Can read most things but light sensitive, very hard to read without proper light. I think everyone will be somewhat different. Comparing to someone else that had the same thing, they had better reading than me but I had better distance but still good for both. This was 2 or 3 years back so might be even better now. Expensive enough but glasses can be expensive enough too. All in all, pretty happy with it. You might pay a bit more with Dr: Rocha but you are getting one of the best there is and that was a priority for me and my eyes.

Dr Rocha is world renowned in his field. I had coorective lasik 7 years ago and couldn;t be happier with the results. Everyone does have different results and side effects. mine are minimal.
