at the Shoppers Mall has the lamps.

We bought ours from Hedley's Health Hut in the mall.

Has a good assortment and the profits support various hospital programs. ?

What are the benefits of these salt lamps? I see them everywhere and they're not cheap, but when I research the benefits, they all seem a little vague or subjective. "MAY help with this, this and this." "They work if you believe they work." Can anyone attest to their powers? Did you actually notice significant results? I thought it might be a Vitamin D kind of thing, but apparently they work off ions?

You won't be getting any vitamins from these lamps, but maybe some minerals if you take the time to give them a lick now and then!  
 
The last I read about these is the positive effect they have on the air is very very limited to air around their surface - so maybe having it near your face while you work at a desk or something would have some benefit.  
 
I just love mine simply because of the calming glow it provides when the other lights are turned off.

I have two of them, a large one for the living room and small one in the bedroom. I have noticed no benefit from them, I just liked them.

I did notice some feel quite hot to the touch. If you did purchase one where from and do they feel warm/hot? I've wanted one for awhile now but I do have small children.

We bought my mother 2 from lady of the lake a couple years ago. I'm not sure they still stock them, but it might be another option for anyone else looking for them.
