Im looking to get a YMCA family membership, my question is, will the family plus be worth it? or just stick with the regular family membership?

The plus memberships are definitely not worth it.

If you're getting the plus with your family including children under 18, they can't access the Plus side of it. It doesn't seem like it's worth the money anyway.  
 
We've had a family membership for years and love it.

Not worth it! The only difference you get is a change room full of people who can afford "plus". Only at the Y do they promote themselves as inclusive of all, then have different change rooms for different statuses of people. I heard most other Y's are moving away from this type of environment and I'm surprised Brandon built their new Y with this still in place!

How much it costs for a youth membership do I also have to pay a joiner fee with the membership rate?. And what do I get access to?

Wife and I love the plus!  
It's less crowded and no kids as well so it's way quieter for us older folks. There's a steam rm in the change area as well and no kids running in or out all the time so you can actually enjoy a steam session. You also get towels so that saves on laundry at home. I've used the plus accross Canada at different Y's and it's nice to compare them. The Brandon Y only has a steam rm, but others have both a steam rm and hot tub in the change rm. Like I said, we both like it as it's much quieter and relaxing. At our age it's very nice to go for a workout and then be able to go to a change rm that not hectic and loud. Take away the plus and I don't think we'd be members as the common change rm can be quite chaotic at times, especially on the weekends. To us, yes the Plus is worth the extra cost.

What is the definition of a young adult? Does anyone know what the age restrictions are? Doesn't specify on website....Like does it cap off at 25? or under 30?

It looks like "Young Adult" means 16-25.
