Can you snowshoe on cross country ski trails? Or is this frowned upon by the skiers?

It's frowned upon as it does damage the tracks. My wife and her friends have been snowshoeing down at the Wheat City golf course. There was quite a few of them down there a couple weekends ago.

Lots of trails

There are lots of trails at the Brandon Hills to snowshoe on.

There is no need to go on the ones that are groomed for cross country skiing.

At the Wheat City you can just make your own trail or follow someone elses tracks.
