It would not be a big deal except I'm the kind of guy that very rarely ever gets sick . Symptoms i:nclude plugged head, blowing my nose all day long , very tired and weak feeling . Have pretty much tried all the basics , chicken soup, cold FX, drinking lots of water, sleeping lots, Vicks vapour rub, no improvement so far . So was interested to see what other ebrandon people do for remedies? " |

Hi Kroggs, all my life until i was 40 i suffered from annual winter colds, flu, sinus infection (post nasal drip), strep throat.
Since i started taking 5000-7000iu of D-3 daily, i haven''''t been sick with any of those symptoms since and i''''m 46 now. Thank God, not a cold for nearly 6 years now.
Our bodies, metabolize vit D-3 from the UV-3 that our skin cells get from the sun. Each day, to maintain a healthy immune system our bodies require 20000 iu of D-3 in order to stay resistant to colds and other illnesses.
In order to gather 20000iu of D-3, the human body requires 20 minutes of full body exposure to the sun daily. With out that sun exposure, your not getting it..., period. With our long winters and dress during those periods, its just not possible unless your deliberately sun bathing in a sun room.
Be sure your getting D-3 cholecalciferol, and not just D that needs to be metabolized into cholecalciferol. Naturopathic phd's recommend minimum supplimentation of 7000iu. Which is what i typically take daily.
But don't just take it from me. The University of California has some great information on their educational website.

I pray that some of this will help you Krogg.
