Looking for some advice on getting moles removed. I have a mole that I am worried about but would prefer not waiting months to have it removed ? What is the quickest route to getting it removed ? Can dr do it in office ?

Saw my family doctor, set up another appointment (guess it depends on how busy your doctor is), mine was pretty quick. It was a few years ago and you have to pay for what they call a "tray fee", unless that has changed. I got about three done at the same time.

to Dr. Sneath. I have a history of skin cancer and have seen him for this reason, he was great. I have also had my GP do a few removal's as well, but the scars were pretty bad after. I prefer Dr. Sneath's skill, and knowledge.

My family doctor did one I was worried about. Appointment was pretty quick and I was in and out in about 30 mins. My scar is barely noticeable.

If you have a mole you are concerned about, don't wait to have it checked. Go to your family doctor asap. He/she may be able to tell you if it is something more serious than "just a mole" and if there is any doubt in your doctor's mind you will most likely be referred to a dermatologist (probably Dr. Sneath at SkinClinics here in Brandon) where it can be checked further and if necessary, scraped/removed to be sent away for analysis. Speaking from experience, moles and other skin discolorations/abnormalities need to be monitored in order to catch potentially dangerous skin conditions and melanoma before they become serious.
