If you think weed is going to be legalized this Spring I am afraid you are going to be a little disappointed.

I said legislation will be introduced.  
 
And yes, it will be legal by Jan 1, 2018

Also looking for some help to get a marijuana medical card it seems to help me a lot more than any pills that have been prescribed

Is legal, so why discourage people who are trying to legally obtain their medication? Though I have to say it's not easy to find the proper information.

There are some fantastic documentaries out there, as well as doc-series available. As for obtaining a legal pres:cription, that's for you and your doctor.  
The first step is having a qualified health professional on board with your descision. Once you have a pres:cription, the choice is yours where to procure your medicine. Health Canada makes available their list of licenced LEGAL health Canada producers.  
The blank medical document is also available on the health Canada site. Once filled out, you mail your original doc away to the producer you've chosen and they will guide you through the registration process.  
There are links to the producers different websites so you can look over them all before selecting one.  
As I mentioned though, the first step is with your family doctor.

Pay for an appointment for a Dr online

How exactly does the skype Doctor work? Do you "see" them often or just for reasons related to the medical marijuana?  
 
For those whose family doctor denied them, did it become awkward when you went to someone else?

It was about an hour appointment with the Dr via video chat. If they find the pres:cription for medical cannabis nessesary they will go e you a pres:cription for a set amount. You register with a licensed producer to obtain your cannibis and it's sent through the mail. I didn't feel awkward with my doctor.

My neurologist would only prescribe standard pain meds so i felt medical cannabis was a different more natural solution for my MS related pain in my legs. Not awkward at all regarding my health and body
