I have been using essential oils for a while now, and have tried a couple of brands along the way. I like Saje, but they are not always 100% pure. You can tell this from the price alone. They are quite inexpensive.I have settled on Young Living now, and love them. I was a bit sceptical at first because it just seems like another over priced pyramid scheme, but so far, they are living up to all that they preach.
It just really depends on what you want to do with the oils. If you just like diffusing for the scent, even they are not pure, that won't make a difference. If you want them for health benefits, then you definitely want pure oils.
Despite what other's may say, you do not always need a carrier oil when applying topically. It just depends on how you react to the oils. Some oils are much hotter than others, and will irritate the skin without a carrier oil, but other's are not. For example, peppermint can be a hotter oil that may irritate the skin, but for myself, I apply it without a carrier with no problems. I use it for my headaches. You absolutely can ingest 100% pure essential oils as well. Things like oregano oil are great for you health for example.
Hope this helps.
