I am curious if Brandon has any places that teach sign language as I am in my mid 20s and have recently lost my remaining hearing in my left ear and have worn hearing aids my whole life. I can still hear out of my right ear so-so but high pitched noises are audible to me. I'd like to learn some sign language while I await my CI surgery so that I have a way to communicate with people if I don't understand them the first time. Any advice is appreciated.

I noticed on the ACC Continuing Studies website that they have 2 levels of American Sign Language courses.

If you were wanting to learn sign you'd have to start in the fall or wait till next fall (101 only offered in Sept). I would encourage anyone interested to look into it. The lady that teaches at acc is amazing. Great teacher and very friendly!

There is a difference in sign language from Canada & the U.S.

I have an ASL dictionary you can have if you want it.

I highly recommend the courses offered at ACC. The instructor is awesome.
