What do you use for relief or treatment of tinnitus (ringing in the ears)?

Try keeping some background noise on all the time. I find mine is worse when it is quiet. Try not to focus on it as that will make it worse.

Mine is constant but varies in loudness. It fluctuates between several days of ringing then several days of next to nothing.  
I have a sound machine that I use at night to block the ringing so I can sleep. I can hear the ringing more when I am quiet or driving. The rest of the time I don't notice it.

Hearing aids just about cut the tinitus to nil.

Has anyone tried laser treatment for tinnitus?

Where do you find these essential oils?

Do you know the cause of your tinnitus and how old you are? Did you see a doctor and get any testings done? Did it ever go away

interesting video on youtube from a TED talk on tennitis... sounds like once you have it that's it you got it... linked to exposure to loud noises and triggered by stress and alcohol to a certain extent I've read quite a bit about it...

have the technician put a sound mask in your hearing aids? When I go back to get mine checked again, I''m going to inquire.  
As to the oils remedy, you will get the same relief just from rubbing the ears in the same place. That comes from Traditional Chinese Medicine.  
I also keep a radio on thru the day and prefer headphones to the hearing aids to listen to the TV.

I have hearing aids for mine caused by very loud noise from explosions and tracked vehicles during my army time. They work very well.

There is an app out there that's is free.  
I downloaded it for iPhone and It has a bunch of different noises and you can adjust the pitches and loudness to drown out the ringing. Its called starkey

... I put an earbud in and listen to static... easy to find on youtube. Not a cure obviously but it's a very nice break from the high pitch ring I always have.

There isn't anything I know of to stop the ringing.  
It was loud some days and the other days didn't notice it.  
 
I did notice that alcohol made it worse.  
Now I also wear hearing aids...

I have tinnitus just like you. As for the loudness, it comes and goes without any reason. I concentrate on my breathing when I go to bed. my mind slowly catches the rhythm of my breath and the ringing slowly subsides or I go to sleep. in day time same thing if it really gets louder enough to irritate me, I close my eyes and deep breath listening to my breathes. it will take practice but it is the most harmless way to deal with it.
