SYNOPSIS - In 1950's Britain, a search for a virginal young woman to become the town's May Queen falls short. An innocent young man, Albert Herring, is named May King instead. But for Albert, the "honor" is the last straw, and he uses his reward money to help him break free of his tyrannical mother.
