Radon testing
4/28/2016 at 6:01 PM
In winter with the cold outside and heat inside , there is more heat rising inside creating a stack effect that brings more radon in. Also, in our cold climate , there is less tendency to have any windows or doors open any longer than necessary which can dilute the radon a bit in the summer. Nothing wrong with testing in the summer but better to do a longer term test and capture some of the heating months as well. If you are only going to do a 3 month test , it is better to do in the winter because you are measuring when radon levels are probably highest and most dangerous to you.
