I''ve had cats for years, and diffused essential oils for years with zero problems. As many plants can be toxic to cats, it makes sense that some essential oils can be as well, so it pays to be careful with essential oils just as you would be with certain houseplants and cats. I think you would certainly want to avoid directly surface contact for them, as well as the chance of them being able to lick the oils from anywhere. As for diffusing, I would say just monitor them when you''re diffusing and see if they have any problems. As I mentioned above i''ve never had an issue and I use all of the essential oils mentioned in that facebook post. And as for the facebook post itself, did the woman actually confirm that the oils are what made her cat sick?
