I have an almost 7 month old puppy, larger breed. She is a loving pup 98% of the time. She is a very timid pup, but it almost seems random at times, she will aggressively attack my older, much smaller dog. Going for the neck and shaking hard and hurting him so badly...is there hope for her?

You need to call Renee Will right away to get on top of this aggressive behaviour. One of these times the little dog will get hurt badly if not killed.

She is only a pup, but I would hate to have to do something drastic...she is otherwise loving in between to him and otherwise an affectionate dog

They have a few trainers and different classes or a trainer who can do private sessions.

Their trainers are wonderful. Experienced, certified and professional. They are very straight to the point with you as well and will give you honest guidance on how and when to be firm with your dog. Big focus on positive reinforcement as well which has been very effective for us.  
Their puppy classes are also a great way to learn and socialize but I think they are geared for young puppies, not 7 months old. They do have adult dog classes that focus on behavior and training as well. Worth every penny.
