Just looking for some advise, we have a pup about 10 months now, good dog when we are home, he goes for walks, gets lots of play and has lots of toys, goes to doggie daycare 3 days a week but everytime we leave the house he chews things and destroys. Be has chewed up flooring,doors,walls and more, we have been training but have no clue what else we can do. Any advise would be great.

Kennel training is the best way to fix this in my opinion. We have a 1.5 year old and still kennel her when we leave 95% of the time.

Along with crate training freeze peanut butter or some of his food in a Kong. Will give him something to do while you are away.

Besides kenneling which works wonders when you’re not home, we also used The Thunder Jacket for both our dogs. Best West carries it as well as Pet Valu. It works by compression and relieving anxiety. It’s on the pricy side (was maybe $50 or maybe a bit more for the size we needed), but I did find it helped. If it’s happening while you’re at home, could also tether your dog to you. We did that with our one boy at certain times as he was a bit of a trouble maker and while I would do dishes or whatever, he’d get in trouble.

It’s the best thing for dogs. They need to know they don’t have free reign of your house. Both my dogs love there kennel. Around 9pm my one dog always goes in there himself and puts himself to bed.

We have always crate trained our dogs. We use the crate when not at home or a night. Its the safest place for them. A puppy is like leaving a toddler unattended. A puppy can chew on an electrical cord or choke on something they are chewing on and hurt themselves. Its not only for the safety of your house, but for them.  
 
Some breeds are just prone to chewing (ours was and chewed on anything). Just trying to entertain themselves when bored/home alone which is why we would crate. Easier when you are at home to redirect them to chew on appropriate toys etc. Or they could be teething if chewing.

Sounds like get a crate, whether you have a dog or not...

Some dogs can be trusted by a year old. Most dogs will need the kennel time into a couple years old.

That puppy will still be chewing stuff u don’t want them to while on free time. We used baby gates to keep the dog in a somewhat chew proofed room  
Provide healthy n safe chew toys.

My goal when I got puppies was to have them in the crate when I wasn't home for a while and slowly let them have the run of the house when I wasn't home. Didn't happen that way...when I leave they go to the crate without being told. If I leave and they aren't in the crate they cry...unless i am in the yard and they can see me through the window. I was shocked but wouldn't change it now. Make sure it isn't too small for him to grow.

My friends used a kennel and called it puppy jail but luckily he only chewed a couple times but thats because he wasnt stimulate d enough during the time they were out so they now have mutiple blanket out and toys everywhere when they work and also those giant bones for him. Puppy jail a few times corrected the behavior
