The ones available at PMart and the like are pretty flimsy and definitely not suited for wintering. Your best bet is to build an insulated winter coop (or convert a garden shed) and make a lighter one for moving around in the spring/summer. Lots of ideas out there. I can send you pictures if you need. I would suggest joining one of the many poultry groups on Facebook: they have a wealth of knowledge.
