We need a place in Brandon to live but we cant bring our dog. My son needs him for his anxiety.

Some landlords will accept a pet if you offer a pet deposit for damage coverage. Too many people have let their pets destroy their homes and left landlords with huge repair bills! If you look in tenants rights I believe if you offer a pet deposit you can't be refused, but i could be wrong..

Landlords in manitoba dont have to allow pets. If they do, they can charge a pet deposit. I'm sure someone will post about fluffys bill from a few years ago (a bill making it so landlords had to allow pets) but that did not pass.  
 
You said the dog is for your son's anxiety. Is it a service dog? I don't think landlords can legally refuse service animals.

Please no one bring up that BS bill saying people from Manitoba can’t deny animals. Look into facts before you spit misinformation.  
 
There’s a lot of pet friendly places for rent right now. My friend was looking for one recently and we came across MANY. Lots appear to still be in the classifieds.

I just found a place that thankfully allows one cat, and is not crazy expensive either! I did, however, have to pay one months’ rent as the pet deposit in addition to the standard damage deposit, so that ended up being a bit expensive - but my cat is a good boy, so I was more than happy to find somewhere that’s affordable AND pet friendly.  
 
Sorry I don’t have any advice for dog friendly places, but it never hurts to be up front about it and ask if they would consider it - especially if your pup has good references too!

place in manitoba certifies true service dogs. Lots say they do, but they're a fake money grab and at the end of the day they are not legit. New apartments on the north hill have pet friendly signs up on 1 complex and no pet signs on the other complex....I thought that was pretty cool to actually put signs up stating it on the building.

That dog is important to your sons well being.

Hilltop Estates on Braecrest allow pets. Brand new buildings that taking applications for renters now.

not that easy when they flat out say no pets to me. but thanks

she is his pet but not certified. i dont even know how i would do. this.

they want about $1,000 and im a single working momma and cant afford that.

well i checked them out but they dont have any prices. They say on fb they will pm them for pricing. so my guess is that price may be high

I allow pets in both my properties (with full month pet damage deposit). They are both rented right now, but I know lots landlords allow—keep looking, good luck!
