Who has had experience with cats and dental issues? Such as red inflamed gums, and smelly breath. How much did a cleaning cost? Did extractions have to be done? Anything else you can tell me? An affordable vet to go to for this type of issue? Thanks!

Both of our cats had teeth problems that required extractions; I don't remember price but it was probably $300-$500 per cat. The staff at Grand Valley Animal Clinic were professional, polite, and up front about issues, solutions, and cost. Their website says they offer discounts to pet owners who bring in 3 or more animals at the same time.

We had dental issues with our cat. It is common.  
He had inflamed gums and tartar built up.  
He also had a condition where his body was absorbing his teeth. His little teeth in the front were disappearing and getting smaller. He had a good dental cleaning and extractions of the absorbed teeth. Cost was $636 at Neepawa Vet Clinic. They took excellent care of him during the procedure and when I picked him up to bring him home he behaved as if nothing had even happened.  
X rays were done before any dental procedures to make sure they knew what they were dealing with first.

Had our 12 yr old cat done last Summer. Vet saw problems during his general check-up prior & thought may need extractions so i:ncluded in estimate. Difficult for Vet to get a close look so when anesthetized, saw not needed so cost close to $200. instead of quoted $500.  
This was Wheat city.  
Second time had him done: thinking 6? years ago too.  
 
He has health issues so had to be on antibiotics before & after. Of the $200., $40. for special antibiotics for after treatment.
