How to get rid of pet smell?

I love my animals dearly but I hate the smell. I have 2 ferrets, 2 guinea pigs, and 3 dogs. I vaccum/sweep/mop daily and clean there cages every 2nd or 3rd day (I clean the ferrets litter once or twice a day though). I've tried vinigar and it kind of worked but I'm looking for other solutions. I have an air purifyer(SP?) and it works a little but only small scale. Any suggestions?
