Does anyone else's dogs do this?

I have two dogs, a Shepherd/Husky cross and a cute mutt (terrier, schnauzer, everything!). The Husky/Shepherd sometimes barks when she's talking with us, lol, but rarely other times.
Last night, my husband and I were woken by the dogs barking. My hubby got up to look around and noticed a group of people standing in our yard and one person who walked right by our kitchen window.
I'm so glad our dogs woke us up, because my husband turned on the lights and looked at the people... they saw him, lol, and they left!
My dogs make me feel so safe. Anyone else have an experience like this?
