Does anyone else hate going into pet stores? Everytime I've gone into one I've been either disgusted with the conditions that the puppies and kittens are being kept in, or just feel bad in general because I can't take them all home and give them a better place to live.  
 
It just really seems unfair that they have to be kept in the tiny glass cages for most of their day. I won't name any names of the businesses in the area, but the last one I was in hadn't cleaned the cages in I bet you two days. The pups were dirty, had no food or water, and the cage was a horrific sight.  
 
It really makes me wonder how often they're let out to get some exercise, how often the cages are cleaned, etc. Is there anyone that goes around to make sure that the animals are being treated properly, or is it completely unregulated??
