When I talk about my old boy Winston, it brings such a smile to my face when I think of all of the beautiful memories we shared together...Thinking back on these stories make me feel close to him again..He'll always be my "Papa Pooh" and have a piece of my heart.
So...went to Subway to pick up my favorite sub (oven roasted chicken)...Had to run to Canadian Tire for like 2 seconds...Silly me to think my sandwich would be safe on the seat...I was in and out...When I got closer to my car, they were people standing around my car laughing at how Winston had devoured the whole foot long sandwich!!! I have to admit it was hilarious how he gulped it down...He just left me some tomatoes and pickles...He sure had a treat that night
This is my favorite story...If you have a terrier you will be able to relate and understand where I'm coming from....I used to be big into collecting beanie babies...I had this cute turtle my girlfriend bought for me..Well Winston was in love with this turtle and whenever he got it he wouldn't surrender....One night after coming home from Houstons late, I tried to get into my daybed...Winston was under the bed in the dark guarding the turtle...Every step closer I took to get into bed he growled and snapped at me...I was really scared he was going to rip my leg off,as I'd never seen him like this before. I had to wake up my mom to try and get the turtle away from him so I could go to bed...Well he wouldn't cooperate for her either, so we had to wake up my dad to come and get the little devil....Finally 3 people later I was off to bed and Winston was hauled back to his kennel without the turtle...The day we put him to sleep we let him play with the turtle one last time...He was so sick, and we knew he was dying, but you know what, our angel got enough energy to paw it and have a couple of bites....We all cried and smiled at our boy...I cherish that turtle very much now....
