Live Aquarium Plants?

Just wondering if anyone on here as a planted tank?
Just curious how hard it is to maintain one and if its really necessary to go through all the trouble of buying CO2 and all extra stuff.
Are there any specific places in Brandon that have a good selection of Aquarium plants? So far the pets stores I've been too all seem to carry the same variety.
