The Brandon Humane Society

has announced they have a policy that prevents Farmers from adopting dogs from their institution. Why does this group attract Cracked Pots , I have not given donations for years not since one of its members captured my cat from my front steps and held it for ransom with a City of Brandon looking form. The City legal department solved that problem for me. Sure farmers keep dogs to watch the farm, I keep one in the city to watch my house, this does not mean that he is not one of the family. If I visit a farm I always look for the Dog because he will always be with the farmer. The Society does a good background check on people who wish to adopt one of their pets, why is this not done for farm adoptions too? The Winnipeg Humane Society has convinced Native communities up north to suspend "Dog Days" and capture the rouge animals and send them to Winnipeg for adoption. If the Brandon Society is helping with this program they need all the help they can get. Is it too much to expect an apology from the Society for the erroneous accusations about the way farmers treat their pets? Is it too much to expect the Brandon Humane Society to change their policy to allow farmers to adopt Canine Pets?
