Hamster Questions

Where in Brandon would be the best place to get a hamster? We've decided that because neither of our parents would let us have one, we want to add a little furry cute bundle of small rodent responsibility to our home!
How much do they cost? Are wire cages better or worse than plastic ones? What are your past experiences? What type of hamster would be the best to get?
