Do you consider a pug to be unique? Haha she was 2 in March, and I've had her since June 2013. I had to go to Eli to get her.

I have a one-of-a-kind mutt! I rescued him in a remote fly-in community in the Northwest Territories!  
 
I know, that's not the kind of unique that you were looking for, but I just couldn't resist!

We have a Dalmatian, that we got from Calgary. also have a Siberian husky, but these days, there seems to be a lot around.

We used to own a Papillon dog. What a beautiful pet to own. Anyone in Brandon have this breed?

As a kid and through my teenage years we had a total of three Basenjis. Loved those dogs.

we have a basset hound.very easy to train.

And unique rescues are awesome too! I had a basset hound too, wonderful sweet dog. We now have a shar pei and chow chow. The shar pei was in portage la prairie and the chow from steinbach

Got ours while we where up north. Came from Hamiota good breeder. He does have unique health problems which is why call him our 8000.00 dog.

I have a Dogue De Bordeaux. Or as most people know that breed from the movie "Turner & Hooch" starring Tom Hanks (in his younger years).

very cute dog. sad to say she met an untimely death. we got her from Souris area I think it was.

a young Bernese Mountain Dog (She is a rescue)and a 16 year old Malamute. MY Malamute is by far the strongest, sweetest dog I have ever had. With quite the personality.

We just recently got an apricot standard poodle from Ontario. Super smart and a breeze to house train.

Where did you rescue your BMD from? We have one from a local breeder, and we LOVE the breed. Would love to rescue one!

A friend from the dog park has a bull terrier. Very beautiful and friendly dog! It is the only one I have seen in Brandon.

Boston Terrier, but we had to go to Winnipeg to get her. She is not the smallish one, but the bigger, tougher type of bostons.  
 
Next one we want if the right rescue dog does not come up when we are ready, is a Frenchie. Closest breeder that we know of is Steinbach though.

Where did you find your Basenjis? Have been looking to see if anyone knew of a breeder. Have only ever met one, and what a beautiful dog!!

Back in the 80s we found a breeder while looking through Canadian Kennel Club official handbook. When looking at the photos of the dogs the CKC used to list the breeder and the city they were from. We found ours in Winnipeg. I'll pm you her name.  
 
I love the breed but they can be difficult because they are extremely energetic, distrustful of others and can have serious health problems. We lost 1 of our dogs to Fanconi Syndrome.

....My son in Boissevain has a Bull Terrier....Most loving dog you can own. He is a little quirky though...Came from a breeder at Pierson 10 yrs ago.

Most incredible looking dog ever. Love our girl. Mom full boxer and dad full golden lab retriever. Super amazing with kids. To affectionate lol. Learns tricks to fast tho. Lol

even imagine what this looks like, but sounds beautiful - and from two fantastic breeds!

Google the breed and you'll find pics. Mines black with white socks and patch under neck and tip of tail. Next one will be brindle. I find most of the boxer traits are visible in body. Super smart and really big clowns. Heart of gold from retriever side.

I have 2, they are pure joy! So affectionate

I have one IT who is a fun dog. They are loyal and intelligent. If you love terriers this is a rare breed that is not yappy like other terriers, low shedding and medium sized. Brandon has a local breeder for this breed. Thought to be the oldest terrier in Ireland. They were used in the Front line trenches in WWI as ratters, guard dogs and messenger dogs. Amazing and beautiful dogs.

We have an olde english bulldog!

I have a blue merle rough collie from a rescue in Kansas City! I haven't seen any other collies in Brandon so far.

I have a harlequin Great Dane, she's only 10 months old but a gentle giant. I love everything about her, even when she sits on me (which she does all the time). Also have a chihuahua.
