how much are the adoption fees at the pound? & how does the adoption process go? I'd rather adopt than get a random cat from elsewhere.

We just went in not long ago and adopted a cat it cost $10  

There are so many poor animals that need homes!  

It's super easy from the pound! You pretty much walk in, choose the cat you want, pay, and walk out with the cat. The pound is super full right now, so rescuing one from there is directly saving it from not being euthanized!

up a kitten 4 years ago and it cost me $5.25. No paperwork, didn't give my name, nothing. Was in and out in under 10 minutes. At first it kind of bothered me that it was that easy to take one of these little lives. And I worried about bad things happening to some of them. But I had looked into other avenues of adopting and this was just so much simpler. So now I have 2 both from the pound. And I love them.

How much are pups?

I don't think they have a website, there's such a high turn over rate. But dogs are I think $40, you can just go down there and see what they have.

I'm out of town, where is the pound and when are they open?

is off 18th street past the cemetery/theatre and you turn west. But I believe the hours are more the 8:00 to 5:00 during the week. Not sure about Saturdays but I thought morning only.

If you have GPS you'll have to plug in "Brandon Boarding Kennel" that'll take you there.  
 
Or you can go west down Patricia Avenue probably about 5km west of 18th Street. It's on a dead end so you can't drive too far.
