How are the behavior of siamese cats/kittens? Are they like any ordinary cats or more hard temper to train? Can you grab them and pat them or are they the type of cats to leave them alone?

Siamese are just like any other cat. I think the old Disney movie lady and the tramp gave them a bad reputation. A cat is cat.....you get different types of personalities all within the same breed. I think it's a lot of how you raise them and some are just more aloof or snugglier than the next. Good luck in finding a cat that suits your home.  

Articles say they are very loving and like attention. I have had two part Siamese cats and found this to be true.

I have had several over the years and like any cat they have their own personalities. They tend to love people, be very vocal, easy to train, many will do little tricks and like to play fetch etc. I have had one or two be a bit more aloof but still very affectionate. They are a lot like any cat but usually have big personalities.

However, I've had both males and females and I have found males are typically more affectionate than females. I have had many cats over the years and this includes two Siamese. I just love their blue eyes and their seemingly "aristocratic " personalities.

Agree with the above poster. Females tend to be a little more aloof, but all our boys have been total snuggle buddy's. Fixed of course. Absolutely love the breed. Charming, beautiful, great personalities. Like any cat, they will stand up for themselves if being bothered too much, which is exactly what children need (to be taught respect towards animals).

I've had 2 now both males and they are the most affectionate loving cats with a great personality! They are very clean and I wouldn't have any other kind. First one lived to 16 yrs . To me they are not just a typical cat. They aren't cheap cats and aren't easy to find but I see there is a litter on ebrandon right now for 200.00 each!

is a reasonable price for siamese?

Depends where you look. I sold all my Siamese kittens for $20 each and fixed the parents with the profits. Previous litters we gave away for free. Personally I don't think they are worth $200, and if you buy them at that price people will keep breeding them for profit. Way too many homeless cats in the classifieds to be breeding. Look around, lots of farms have Siamese crosses that look exactly like purebreds, for free.

We've had 4 Siamese now, and they've all been great cats. Just be prepared for them to tell you everything, as they are very vocal!

I had a Siamese male cat when I was young. He was rehomed with us and he was very territorial. He grew to love us very quickly and once he got lost far away from our home and he found his way back after weeks. He was skinny too. Plus he was always bringing "gifts" back and trying to get them inside the house. I thought he was a good cat and smart.

agree. I find a bit much $200

I paid 50.00 for my first one and 100.00 for the one I have now ! Yes 200.00 seems a little high!

If you are looking for a PUREBRED Siamese cat, it will be registered with the CCA, TCA, and/or TICA. From a reputable breeder, the cat/ kitten will be fully vetted (including vaccinations, deworming, etc), and come with health guarantees. You will pay $800-1200 for a kitten - and most reputable registered breeders are NOT making a profit at this price. You will know the exact pedigree, and will have a purebred Siamese cat who will have distinct characteristics that are characteristic of the breed, including personality. A 'cat is a cat' is not true when referring to purebred cats, any more than a 'dog is a dog' when referring to purebred dogs.  
 
That said, I am a huge supporter of rescuing pets, as there are far too many who need homes. Anyone who purposefully breeds cats or dogs (especially mixed or unregistered) is contributing to the over-population of pets. People only charge what other people are willing to pay, whether that be $20 or $200. It is much better, IMHO, to rescue a cat!
