I have a cat who pees on the floor if he is upset at us for various reasons (food dish is empty, wants to go outside, unknown reasons). We use the Feliway plug-ins in the two main areas where he likes to pee. We also feed him exclusively Royal Canin Calm food (
https://www.royalcanin.com/products/royal-canin-veterinary-diet-feline-calm-dry-cat-food/3955 ). If we feel that he is stressed or upset about things, we also add Anxitane (
http://www.virbac.ca/behavioural/product/anxitane_l_theanine_chewable_tablets ) at the maintenance dose. With the Anxitane as well as the Calm food, he does sleep quite a bit, but with just the Calm foor and Feliway, he still has his usual activity level.
