How do you save your lawn from dog urine ?

Has any one had any success using products such as dog rocks , or peti green ? Is there a product or brand out there you find works best ? thanks in advance !

Easiest way I know is have your dog pee on the neighbors lawn.

If you can rake up the dead grass a bit... then sprinkle the lime... then add a bit of dirt and some grass seed you'll get faster results.

There are some dog spot kits out there as well that have lime and seed in them.

Buy something called dolomite lime... rake up the brown grass, a hand full of lime on the spot and water in.

Then do the dirt and seed on top and keep it watered.

Works great!

To prevent future spots, just water the spot right after the dog pees...it dilutes the urine and actually fertilizes your grass.

Obviously this won't help to fix existing brown spots though!

1- give oyur dog 1 cup of tomato juice a day. Helps hange the ph of the urine

2- water the spot immediately

This year I will have that fight. Lime? I will check out.
Last time I won by burning the dead spots and water. Over watered? Maybe. This year instead of a lighter I may buy a blow torch.

Rake/burn/water and keep watered. Yes old school. My budget for this would not cover the down payment on a free lunch. I will check out lime and dog spot kits today as it is time to get on it

I used a product last year I believe it was called dog spot remover that I purchased at the local greenhouses. You apply it 3 times a year. Worked great! Check it out at dirtngrow.com also called evolve organics. Not affiliated but a fan.

They have a product called Australian Rocks or something like that. leave it in your dogs water bowl and it brings down the PH

I'm pretty sure it's not a good idea to give your dog tomato juice. Salt in the juice and tomatoes are acidic. You may be causing health problems for your dog. I checked out a few sites, it advises water the spot at end of day just enough to dilute and should be good.It also suggests the diet might cause the brown spots.

2 tbsps in a gallon of water.also helps pine tree acid burn. Cheap, simple. No need to buy crazy chemicals, just need to nutrilise the acid.
