Has anyone went to a 2nd vet clinic for 2nd opinion for your pet diagnose?  
Was it the same, or same but different med treatment

I think it depends on what's wrong... If a specific test was run (say heart worm or parvo) those aren't going to change, treatment might but the diagnosis won't. Or let's say your dog has been loosing fur... One might say it's allergies or one might say it's stress, if your not running a specific test there's definitely room for error. It also depends on why you feel your vets wrong? Do the symptoms not match? Are you hoping for a different outcome?

Been to a different vet for a second opinon. She diagnosed a fungal infection instead of a bactirial, so different meds and such i guess we will see if its right this time. Lol was too recent. If you do get a second opinon ask for your pets records so the new vet wont have to run the same tests and you wont be paying twice unless of course you want to

once. sadly it was too late . Second vet could do nothing to counteract the damage first vet had caused with misdiagnosis/incorrect medication.

Unfortunately no one is perfect and some vetransrians make mistakes. Sadly it cost my dog his life.... I didn''t feel right about a diagnosis a certain "new vet" gave. If you are ever in doubt ask to talk to another vet about this diagnosis to ease your mind (even if it is the same office). I wish I would have....

The first vet told me my cat was allergic to chicken so I bought their duck flavoured hard food. He kept getting sick so I took him to another vet and they got his history faxed over and wow what a difference. This vet actually listened to me and told me he didn't have a chicken allergy but a grain allergy. My cat has been eating grain free wet food since that day and hasn't gotten sick! I will be going to the new vet from now on if or when I need to

Definitely had to get a second opinion before because the first vet we saw had NO CLUE what he was doing. We wasted a whole year and a half going back to the vet almost monthly because our kitten was having so much trouble and progressively getting worse. Every time I took him in I got told my kitten''s problems would just go away on their own, refusing to run any tests unless I insisted, prescribing antibiotics that weren''t needed, and kept telling me I was worried about nothing (along with a ton of other problems I had with that clinic). Now we see a different veterinarian in Brandon and could not be happier. We solved my cat''s problem in one 45 minute visit and a pres:cription diet change. Definitely worth a second opinion if you have the gut feeling that the vet has no idea what they are talking about!

this is terrible and for the amount of money we pay. Are vets now just like our doctors, don't have time for patients. Take less patients instead squeaking a bunch in a day.
