But certainly doesnt happen in mine. My cats are perfectly healthy/fixed and they all use the box.  
 
I dont need to buy anything to rent out. I have an apartment which is pet friendly. Im not complaining about all the not pet friendly places because we dont plan on moving until we buy a house.  
Took me a long time to find pet friendly. And once i did im not giving it up easily. My landlord has been to my house several times since we have lived here and there isnt any smell or im sure we would have to get rid of our pets.  
 
It is a landlords choice to be pet friendly or not. Pretty straight forward if you ask me. I was never arguing that.  
I clean for a living so i know what clean is and what kind of state apartments can be left in and i wouldnt want that. But also from experience people can be just as bad as pets. Our apartment is a prime example of that because it had never been cleaned properly by the previous tennent that did not have pets. There was mould growing on the toilet thats how poorly the previous tennant cleaned. 3 years worth of dirt and stuff everywhere is disgusting.

I don''t know why anybody would want to let pets into a rental, it''s just an extra risk for nothing. Yes people can make a big mess but you cannot rent out housing without dealing with people, you can however do it without dealing with pets.  
 
If I did have a rental that I was allowing pets in I would charge more if they had a pet. Say rent was $800, that is only if it''s just people, get a pet and it goes up to $1000.  
 
Put the cost on these crybabies that think they are entitled to owning a pet, not on a landlord where it does not belong.

Lol, yeah, the landlords are stuck up for wanting to protect their property and mitigate some risk associated with pets in a rental.  
 
But you, pet owner are the humble one, right? I mean you're only trash talking landlords because they refuse to share responsibility for your animal. You have a pet and you demand that people house it for you else they're "stuck up", right? Yeah that's not entitled at all..  
 
I'm surprized you're able to function on a daily basis with a thought process that broken.

As a landlord, we have had both responsible and irresponsible pet owners as tenants - the majority, irresponsible. Our houses have been left with ruined carpets from urine, broken doors from large disobedient dogs, scratches on walls from cats... And a disappearing tenant and rent and pet damage deposit doesn't always cover it. I will note that we have always had our listings posted as 'no pets' but if asked, we will take pets into consideration on a case by case basis with a pet damage and lease addendum. But, no landlord should be forced to accept pets on their property
