I have a question for cat owners. We recently had to move our litter boxes into our family room as our old boy is nearly 17 years old and having issues using stairs. I can't seem to find a litter that is absorbent yet not ridiculously dusty. Walmart brand is really absorbent but very dusty. Costco's brand is less dusty but doesn't clump well, so clumps stick to the edges.  
 
I am a bit leery of using one of the alternatives that are quite different from regular clay based litter, but if anyone has success switching cats over and has tips, I am willing to try anything.  
 
First world problems, I know!

I use World's Best. It is not as dusty as clay based and my cats didn't seem to have a problem when I made the switch. Just added it bit by bit to the old until the old litter was all gone. I get it a Pet Valu but Canadian Tire carries it too

Noticed too much dust with the superstore no name brand if you want really affordable

am really happy with it. There is virtually no dust and very little tracking.  
I didn't have any cat problems switching from clay to World's Best

I use Tidy Cats litter and really like it. Less smell and it clumps pretty good.

Preferred Litter Max before it became unavailable. I see its back in stores now so I might switch back.  
I found with worlds best there was a fine yellow dust everywhere the cats went after using litterbox.  
I now use arm n hammer double duty multi cat. I think arm n hammer clump n seal is the best I have used but too pricey for my budget.

We use Tidy Cats and its FAAAAR less dusty and clumps better than the walmart brand stuff. I've also switched to the light weight Tidy Cats now - the cats did have an adjustment period with it but much prefer it now.

I have tried the arm and hammer, but not since we had to switch from the litter robot to the flat trays. Poor guy can't get up into the robot anymore, and the second cat is too lazy to use it when there is a nice open tray right there. So I guess I have to use the flat trays until the old guy is gone - then the little brat will have to go back to using the robot!!  
 
Does anyone use those white "pearls" I have seen around? If so, was it a difficult transition? Not sure if you can mix the two different kinds to graduate it.
