Just wondering if people would be interested in someone to come in either during the day while there working or in the evening, on holiday (Dog sitting) and just walking their dog for 1 to 2 hours a day or every second day. How much would you charge to do so? was thinking $15/Hr in summer and $30/hr in winter (cuz nobody wanted to do that. Questions? Ideas? Interest?

I would think there would be an interest in half hour walks also

You can take your dog to the daycare for 20.00 per day so would charge less

I'm curious about this too as I'm thinking of starting a licences dog daycare in my home as opposed to people having to put their babies in kennels.

Investigate what it would take to start up a dog daycare, walking service or any other ventures you may expand into as a local business. You will need to think about startup costs, obtain a business license/insurance, adhere to bylaws, set prices fairly/competitively, etc. etc.  
 
There is already one licensed established Brandon based Business that comes to mind first where one can take their dog for 1/2 day ($12.50) or a full day ($25.00) for doggy daycare (play/socialization) which i:ncludes supervised play areas, dog walking, bathroom breaks etc. Monday-Friday.  
 
There are a couple of unlicensed folks that will make arrangements to walk your pet, have playtime etc. This is more of a pet sitting approach much like baby/child-sitting (paying someone under the table). As a responsible pet owner I would be concerned with this approach regarding liability if injuries to the person/pet were to occur.  
 
Personally have not experienced doggy day cares/centres that provide in-home services but hope they adhere to/follow Brandon bylaws obtaining a business license/insurance, make sure all the pets that come into the in-home business adhere to the City's Dog/Cat Registration (vaccinations, rabies) etc.

Great advice. I would not do anything under the table or without a business licence. And all dogs will need their vaccinations etc up to date, just like my dog has.  
 
I'd be doing dog sitting, day or overnight for people like me, people who can't stand the thought of them being kennelled. I know mine does better in a home environment, with a dog or 2 to play with. With free run of a fenced yard, couches to snuggle and watch TV on. And just being part of the family instead of being caged.

I know of at least one professional dog walker currently working in Brandon. I think the business is called Walk The Walk.  
 
I believe she has been around for a year or so and partners with one or more of the spas or day cares in Brandon to walk their dogs when requested.  
 
Im not sure how your experience differs but I believe she went for some type of Dog/Animal care certification so that she would be registered as a professional walker.
