    MB Education property tax advance

    I sold a house and purchased a different one in 2017. How do I know if I received the mb education property tax advance of $700 as I am trying to complete my income tax right now?

    For the house you sold

    You should be able to tell on your property tax bill and for the property you bought you should be able to check the Statement of Adjustments which you would have received from the lawyer’s office who handled your purchase.

    You are only allowed one credit per household per year. If you received on property #1 you can’t make a claim on property #2.  
     
    Check with your legal agreements it is usually stayed who gets it
